Feel like traveling over 100 miles to photograph Trains at Rochelle? ( Note: Rochelle is a Busy crossing on the BNSF & UP mainlines )

Unless you own a oil company we didnt think so!

Check out these undiscovered Green Bay area Railfan HOT SPOTS that will give you a little less action but a lot more Model Railroad & gas money!

Green Bay Locations:

North Green Bay Yard CN
(CNW & GBW had a interchange track and yards at NORTH GB)

What you might see: Unit Coal Trains Twice Weekly ( WPS Pulliam Power plant)
Mixed Freights, Escanaba & Lake Superior Trains and Locomotives Interchanging at the yard,

Locomotive Roadnames you will spot: UP(CN), GE Demonstrator(ELS), Conrail(ELS), Canadian National (CN), Wisconsin Central(CN), Grand Trunk(CN), Algoma Central(CN), Wisconsin & Southern (ELS)

Best Times to Go:    EARLY!! 8-10 AM & 1-3 usually is the heaviest but action is happening all day.

Locations to set up :  Atkinson Drive Overpass( exit at atkinson) on Interstate-43 ; Hurlbut St over pass (no exit ramps). ;-NORTH BROADWAY STREET, CN crosses this street at grade great location to get shots for trains headed over to the east side or the coal trains); Praire ST  ( CN Employees Parking lot, I personally recommend to stay in your car here because when the CN police come a running you had better be getting out of there)
(NOTE: CN HAS NO TRESPASSING SIGNS POSTED HERE AND ON ALL ADJACENT STREETS, RESPECT THEM AND DONT DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL OR DUMB!!)
